Project Introduction
With over 950000 species, insects constitute about 10% of the animal kingdom and play many significant roles in keeping the balance on our planet earth, apart from being part of the lower end of the food chain. Some insects not just have menacing looks but also pose threats and can be harmful to humans, be it their poisonous sting or in spreading diseases, which is why many among us despise them. For this reason, insects are highly misunderstood and overlooked creatures which sometimes undermine their contribution to the planet’s existence.
Insek-T-site is a project that intends to bridge the gap between the world of humans and insects. Insek-T-site showcases interactive and educational insights into the world of insects so that people of all ages can relate better to them and hopefully enhances our mutual coexistence on this planet.

Following the main idea of a termites’ mound; where integrated tunnels and tubes are portrayed as stairs and pathways that connects one space to the other and creates boundless connection between human and insects.
